FADE IN, the sound of a television blasting invades an otherwise quiet apartment. Wesley and his cousin Keith are held hostage at gunpoint. They are faced down on the floor with their hands tied behind their backs. Their mouths are duck taped shut. The two gunmen make it clear that they are after revenge. One gunman shoots Keith in the back of the head and Wesley in the back. The shots are muffled by the violence displayed on the TV.
The scene melts into a blur as WE SEE from Wesley’s POV. The scene clears to reveal 5 year old Westly tied up in his room.
Wesley narrates over his memories:
"Damn just when I thought those days were over, here I am again tied up like a dog. But the bad thing about it, I used to get tied up by my own father, the alcoholic bastard. And now, not only am I tied up, but also I just got shot. Ain’t that a *censored*? What an ending to a *censored*ed up life."
Joseph barges into Wesley’s room to chastise him. "Have you learned your lesson, you stupid ungrateful bastard?" Wesley sits motionless in the corner and doesn’t answer his father. Joseph becomes enraged and beats Wesley.
"I told you never to go outside and play with any of those poor white trash sons-of-*censored*es. Why do you think I took you away from your mother? So you won’t grow up to be a little piece of shit like the rest of those hoodlums in the neighborhood. So we won’t have this problem again now will we?"
Wesley shakes his head as he continues to weep from the beating he just received. Wesley never figured that this beating would only be the first of many to come. As a child Wesley never understood why his father treated him so cruel, but one thing is knew was that he would never be a father like him. He yearned for the loving touch of his mother. Yet he couldn’t grasp an understanding of why she let his father steal him in the first place.

Wesley hooks up with his cousin Keith who is honored to show him the ropes. Keith tells Wesley about the glamorous dope and pimp game. "This is where it’s at shawty, I’m making bank and I’m only 17. I make more money than the president."
Wesley is intrigued and it doesn’t take long for him to follow in the same footsteps as Keith. He’s a balla’ now and juggles about 5 girls at one time. Wesley is quick to go off if he feels anyone disrespects him and sadly he takes a tremendous leap into darkness.
